One of the religious attractions that are listed in the top 5 Bali's dream destination is Bali’s Rambut Siwi Temple. Let's dig down anything that can be a tourist magnet for this religious nuance.

History of Dang Kahyangan Temple

This story began when a great guru from the land of Java named Dang Hyang Nirartha visited the island of Bali. When he passed a parahyangan or a holy place for prayer, a janitor asked him to carry out the prayer in parahyangan. In addition to asking Dang Hyang Nirartha to pray, the janitor also added a scary story that anyone who does not pray in the parahyangan will be torn to pieces by a tiger.

Dang Hyang Nirartha obeyed the janitor's request. When Dang Hyang Nirartha carried out meditation and yoga solemnly, suddenly the parahyangan building collapsed ruined.

Cry the janitor for his mistake. So, with full of regret, he apologized to Dang Hyang Nirartha and requested the parahyangan be re-established firmly as usual.

Seeing this, Dang Hyang Nirartha couldn't bear to let him cried. Then he returned to build the shrine as it should. When the parahyangan building stood back upright, Dang Hyang Nirartha also pulled out a strand of his hair and told the janitor to put it on one of the leading statues in parahyangan for siwi or worship. The aim and purpose are for everyone who visits and prays there to be given safety and health. That is why this huge and beautiful temple is now called the Rambut Siwi Temple.
